Robert Eugene Downs was born 09/10/22 in Madison County Missouri.   Passed away 1/16/15 in Katy, TX.     He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Downs and Maude (Umfleet) Downs,  an infant son, Steve Downs, and a brother Harold Downs.   Survivors include daughter, Rebecca (Downs) Hinkle and husband Kenneth Hinkle,  son, Nicholas Bates Downs Mabery,   grand daughter, Brandee Duffield and great grandson, Jax Duffield.  Also survived by other relatives and friends.   Robert served his country through the duration of World War 2 in the Merchant Marines.   He was a retired Clerk and Purchaser for the Doe Run Group.      Service being planned for Saturday Jan. 31, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home.    Arrangements pending at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home  1-573-431-2828

Karen Sue Wadlow, 65, of Farmington, Mo.  passed away Jan. 20, 2015 at her residence.    She was born April 24, 1949 in Bonne Terre, Mo.       Preceded in death by parents – Milford Crader and Nadine ‘Major’ Crader,     and by a brother – Mac Crader.        Survived by husband – Robert ‘Bob’ Wadlow of Farmington,   children – Robyn Kinkead and husband Nicholas of Omaha, Nebraska,   Brad Wadlow and wife Rheanna of St. Charles,   Randy Wadlow of Farmington,  and  Angie Wadlow of Park Hills,     grandchildren – Fallon Traylor and husband Adam ,   Trent Wadlow , Nick Kinkead,  Kara Kinkead,   Ryan Wadlow,  Alli Wadlow,  Desyrae Wadlow  and Austin Wadlow,   1 great grand daughter  Isabell Wadlow,    2 sisters – Nancy Holst and husband Frank and Jan Stewart.    Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.      Member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Farmington.        VISTATION:   was Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.  at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home.       SERVICE: was Friday Jan. 23, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home  with Rev. Charles Wayne Sampson, 66, of Potosi, Mo. and formally of Granite City, Illinois   passed away Jan. 19, 2015  at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Town Country, Mo.    He was born Nov. 2, 1948 in Granite City.    VISITATION:  at Irwin Chapel in Granite City,  on Thursday Jan. 22, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.   Visitation will continue at White Oak Grove Baptist Church, White Oak Grove Lane in Potosi, Mo. on Friday, was Jan. 23, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral service at 2:00 P.M. under the direction of Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with Rev. Ila Van Alstine, 91, of Bismarck, Mo. passed away Jan. 24, 2015 at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre. She was born May 27, 1923 in Bismarck. Preceded in death by parents – August Guggenburger and Florence ‘Keipe’ Guggenburger, by Van Alstine, brothers – Ralph, Marvin and Ed Guggenburger. Survived by sons – Alan & Mary Van Alstine and Jay and Linda Van Alstine, grandchildren – Shauna Thompson and husband Kent, Alan Van Alstine and wife Sarah, Andrew Van Alstine and Fiance Erin Harby, Daniel Van Alstine and Christine Van Alstine, great grandchildren – Kylee, Kaden, and Curtis, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Paul Culton, 93, of Farmington, Mo. passed away Jan. 25, 2015 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital. He was born March 12, 1921 at Flat River, Mo. Preceded in death by parents – Edward Culton and Lucy (Marshall) Culton, his wife – Christine Culton, daughter – Vickie, step- son – Larry Abney, sisters – Pauline, Betty, Edith, Minnie, and Blanche, brothers – Earl, Roy, Leeman and Donald Culton. Survived by son – Roger Culton Sr. of Arnold, daughter – Paulette Karasek and husband Paul of Desoto, brother – Robert Culton, grandchildren – Roger Culton Jr., Tanya Brown and husband Brian, Chelsea Culton, Anthony Culton, Robb Hunt, Brian Hunt, and Brad Hunt, great grandchildren – Madison, Matthew, Jacob and Aleeya, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and relatives and friends survive.
